For over fifteen years Marcy Lynn has been very actively involved in obtaining and fighting for special needs services and supports for her now young-adult older daughter who has high functioning autism, ADHD and additional developmental challenges and diagnoses. During the past 10+ years she has assisted many families in obtaining services and supports via her advice and recommendations. She has expertise with both the CPSE and CSE, IEPs and IESPs, RSAs and related service mandates, special needs services for children who are homeschooled, homeschooling children with special needs, impartial hearings and settlements with the Department of Education, private placement considerations, internal Department of Education assessments and evaluations as well as outside assessments and evaluations, parent advocacy and professionally sought advocacy, as well as experience with and in-depth knowledge of a number of therapies, interventions, protocols and services both within and beyond the scope of what the Department of Education may provide. She is also experienced with Self-Direction services within the Medicaid Waiver System and more recently with navigating the complexities of the SSI application process.
