Sunday programs are for students ages 7-21 who would like to learn various technology skills. Students are separated by age into different classrooms. Each Sunday is a different topic. You have the option of enrolling in an all levels workshop or a level II workshop.
Our various after school workshops offer our Hang, Play, Make workshops open to all levels as well as our youth track programs where students can dive deeper into various topics.
Listen to various talks based on the needs of parents and guardians with neurodiverse children. These free talks provide information and resources to help you and your family. Free parent talks are offered to parents/guardians regardless if they have students in TKU or not.
Join our in-person summer workshops where students ages 7-21 work on amazing tech projects, learn important tech skills, and socialize with like-minded techies! Each week is a different topic and you can enroll in any week you'd like!
As per NYU guidelines where all of our in-person workshops are being held, all attendees must be fully vaccinated and boosted against covid-19. Masks will be required. More info can be found via our FAQ page.

IN THIS WORKSHOP, STUDENTS WILL:
-Learn central web programming concepts and transferable practices like syntax and how to problem solve like a programmer.
-Practice foundational coding skills used for web development, using the programming language Javascript.
-Create projects to practice and demonstrate skills.
-Earn certificate of completion at the end of this program that lists skills they learned in this program.
(Note: Students who miss one or more sessions may be ineligible to receive a certificate.)
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS WORKSHOP?
-Students Ages 10-21*
-Students do not need previous coding experience, but should have intermediate computer literacy, typing, and reading skills and be interested and motivated to go a level deeper in their technology skill development.
-Requirements: For the best experience, students in this workshop must participate using a computer (rather than a tablet or mobile device).

Teen tech socials are a time for teens and young adult techies ages 14-21 to socialize, play games, and more!
The TKU Digital Agency is a program for young people who learn differently that mimics a real workplace. Participants have advanced tech skills, complete projects for real clients, and are paid a stipend for their contributions.

The TKU College Access Program provides a supportive environment for neurodiverse students to explore college options and build college readiness skills. This program is designed for students aged 14-21. Topics discussed include: college experience expectations, identity development, social skills, and self-advocacy. Program content will be influenced by needs, interests, and concerns expressed by students.
The Spring 2022 application is now closed. The next cohort will be in Fall 2022.
The TKU Creative Tech Internship (CTI) is an internship for teens/young adults aged 16-21 interested in work or study in creative tech-based fields, and acts as a bridge between school experiences and workplace environments. CTI interns meet weekly September to June to work together on various deliverables for our client-based projects. Interns learn soft skills while working in an office environment and work on their social-emotional learning and transition skills. TKU seeks committed candidates who will attend the program weekly as part of a school program or who have graduated high school. *This is an unpaid internship, but students can receive credit through their school.
The Fall 2021 Deadline has passed. An application for the next cohort will be out in September 2022.
The Career Readiness Internship Program is for neurodiverse college-age or college-bound TKU students and alumni with advanced tech skills.For 5 weeks over the summer, students are placed in an external internship at a an organization or company we match them with for 2-3 days per week. The other days are spent with TKU staff learning career readiness skills such as interviewing skills, portfolio building, and more. Students are paid a stipend for their work.
This program is currently invite only and preference is given to students who have taken multiple TKU workshops and have been in programs such as CTI and TKU Digital Agency.

ABOUT:
This program is for students ages 14-21 on the autism spectrum who will participate in a research study and workshop at Tech Kids Unlimited.org, anon-profit education organization, duringSummer 2022.The program will help us learn how to more effectively teach students who learn in different ways. Before, during, and after the program, students will complete surveys and answer questions about their goals and interests. Students in the study will earn a $50 gift card for attending the program in full, completing assessments, and providing necessary documentation.
ELIGIBILITY:
• Between the ages of 14-21
• Have never taken a TKU workshop before
• Must provide formal documentation of Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Available daily for the entire four week period
Available for two 1.5-2 hour long assessments: one the week before and one the week after the workshop
